FAQ

Do I need to own an instrument to take lessons? +

You do not need to bring your instrument to lessons, I have one for you to use during our time together. You will need an instrument for practice at home, let me know if you would like to discuss rental options, or if you need pointers before purchasing an instrument!

How long are lessons and how often should students come? +

Lessons are offered in 30 minute increments, on a weekly basis.

What is your cancellation policy? +

Life happens! Please just let me know as soon as possible if you're unable to make it to your scheduled lesson time. There are no penalties for late cancellations, and you will never be charged for lessons that you are unable to attend.

Do you offer recitals or performance opportunities? +

Yes! I organize periodic recitals and performance opportunities for students who are interested. These are optional but great for building confidence and celebrating progress.

What should students bring to their first lesson? +

Just bring yourself and any music books or sheet music you might already have. I'll provide method books and materials as needed for your learning journey.

How much practice is expected between lessons? +

Practice expectations vary by age and level. Kids are busy people! We'll discuss what works best for your schedule and goals, and make a practice plan together.
